IntelligentIA: Artificial Intelligence at the heart of Rome
IntelligentIA is the event dedicated to artificial intelligence that made its debut on the capital's scene, bringing two days of discussion, research, and experimentation to Rome on the topic that is reshaping work, business, and society more than any other. The event takes place in the EUR district at the Hotel Cristoforo Colombo Congress Center, one of the city's most spacious conference venues.
Conceived, organized, and promoted by SCAI Comunicazione srl Società Benefit, IntelligentIA was born with a clear goal: to distinguish enthusiasm from true understanding, offering a critical and concrete look at AI far beyond the hype. It is not merely a technological showcase, but a space where scientists, entrepreneurs, researchers, creatives, and institutions meet to understand how to effectively integrate these tools into processes and organizations.
Three tracks to decode AI
The program is structured around three thematic pillars that guide the audience throughout the event:
- Truth — the mechanics of AI: data, models, governance, limitations, and responsibilities.
- Together — the relationship between artificial intelligence, work, and people, focusing on skills, training, and new organizational models.
- Science & Future — scientific research, concrete applications, and the scenarios that lie ahead.
Alongside plenary sessions, the event features practical workshops led by industry professionals and the AIShow, a showcase for the most innovative solutions. A Startup Showcase hosts around twenty startups and SMEs that are already deploying AI tools and platforms in real-world operational contexts.
An inaugural edition that exceeded expectations
The first edition, held on March 6 and 7, 2026, surpassed expectations: over 700 participants, 52 speakers, and more than 350 networking meetings dedicated to artificial intelligence, work, and research. Voices from the scientific, business, cultural, and creative worlds took the stage in what SCAI CEO Michele Franzese described as a true twelve-hour marathon of content.
Rome as a hub for the AI debate
With IntelligentIA, the Municipality of Rome and the Lazio region aim to become a national reference point for the debate on artificial intelligence at a time when the subject is permeating every economic and social sector. The choice of the EUR district, the city's business and congress hub, underscores the professional and institutional vocation of the event, designed for an audience of managers, technicians, researchers, and professionals.
An annual appointment
The success of the debut has prompted organizers to announce a second edition, scheduled for November 2026, with the ambition of making IntelligentIA a permanent annual fixture in the Italian calendar dedicated to artificial intelligence.
IntelligentIA — edition 2026
Held on March 6 and 7, 2026, at the Hotel Cristoforo Colombo Congress Center in Rome's EUR district, the first edition of IntelligentIA brought two days entirely dedicated to artificial intelligence to the capital. Conceived by SCAI Comunicazione srl Società Benefit, the event featured plenary sessions, practical workshops, and the AIShow, along with a Startup Showcase reserved for about twenty startups and SMEs in the sector.
With over 700 participants, 52 speakers, and more than 350 networking meetings, the debut exceeded expectations, confirming Rome as a national hub for AI discussion and paving the way for the second edition announced for November 2026.

Opening at 1:00 PM with registration and the opening address by founder Michele Franzese.
Truth Track (afternoon): "The Age of Agents, between opportunities and risks" with Samuel Algherini; the panel "AI as the Country's infrastructure" with Elisa Giomi, Alessandra Poggiani, and Marco Angelini; "The whole truth about machines" by Walter Quattrociocchi; "How to build an LLM" by Roberto Navigli; a panel on algorithmic responsibility with Simona Tiribelli, Tiziana Catarci, and Lorenzo Perilli; "From automation to Agentic AI" by Fabrizio Silvestri; "The creative lifebuoy" by Accursio Graffeo.
Together Track (evening): "Becoming a Frontier Company" with Luba Manolova (Microsoft); an interview on AI in recruiting with Diego Facchini; a panel on skills and training with Giulia Lapertosa, Matteo Roversi, and Irene Sardellitti; "The smart factory starts with people" by Linda Napoletano; "AI is the sea, humans are the route" by Nick Landucci; "Future trajectories of AI" by Massimo Canducci.
Workshops: interfaces and intelligence with Chiara Arlati, "Design Beyond Experience" by Carlo Frinolli, "GTM Engineering" by Filippo Greco, the five AI trends with Yuri Mariotti, and lessons learned from implementing AI solutions in 60 companies with Riccardo Belli Contarini.
March 7 — Science & Future
Science & Future Track (morning): "Duetto — Human Movement and AI" and "The Science of the New" with Vittorio Loreto of Sony CSL; a panel on employment with Ernesto Belisario and Riccardo Luna; "Training AI for the truth" by Cecilia Colasanti (ISTAT); "Futures Thinking and Agentic Experience" by Mirko Salvia; the panel on "Digital Humanism" with Andrea Bellezza and Anna Maria Gentile.
