Roma E'Festival: street photography takes center stage in Rome

Roma E'Festival is the international event dedicated to street photography and contemporary visual storytelling that brings the Capital to life every year. From October 16th to 18th, 2026, the third edition will take place at Officine Fotografiche, in Rome's Ostiense district, one of the most vibrant spaces in the Italian photographic scene. For three days, photographers, authors, and enthusiasts will meet to share visions, projects, and experiences.

A festival built around community

Conceived by the cultural association effe4.0, Roma E'Festival was born with the goal of building a lively and inclusive community where photographers can meet, learn from one another, and celebrate the unpredictable beauty of street photography. The festival fosters a dialogue between established authors and emerging talents around the language of contemporary imagery.

Talks, exhibitions, workshops, and photowalks

The program alternates between moments of training, discussion, and discovery:

• Talks and meetings with photographers and authors on contemporary photography;
• Portfolio reviews, to have your projects evaluated by industry experts;
• Photographic exhibitions set up in the spaces of Officine Fotografiche;
• Workshops led by international photographers;
• Guided photowalks through the streets of Rome, to capture the city through the lens of street photography.

The Street Photography Awards competition

The beating heart of the event is the Street Photography Awards competition, divided into several categories: Single Shot, black and white, smartphone, series and projects, as well as a section dedicated to images generated with artificial intelligence. The competition offers emerging and established authors a concrete opportunity for visibility and comparison with the international scene.

Rome and the Ostiense district

The festival venue, Officine Fotografiche on Via Giuseppe Libetta, is located in the Ostiense district, in the heart of creative and post-industrial Rome, amidst street art, cultural spaces, and industrial archaeology. The event is part of the rich calendar of cultural activities of the Municipality of Rome and the Lazio region, confirming its status as a benchmark for street photography in Italy.
