Indie music and photography inside the factories of Bassa Romagna
There is a festival in Bassa Romagna that is not held on any stage but inside the local businesses: sheds, workshops, sawmills, and warehouses that for one evening become concert halls. It is Ingranaggi Festival, a musical and creative review organized by the Union of Municipalities of Bassa Romagna in collaboration with the Filmeeting association, which manages Radio Sonora. Its twelfth edition, in 2026, crosses four Municipalities with as many stops, and concludes precisely in Villanova di Bagnacavallo, a hamlet of the Municipality of Bagnacavallo, in the Province of Ravenna (Emilia-Romagna).
The last event of 2026 takes place in the spaces of Ravaioli Legnami, at via Bandoli 24, in Villanova. Here the idea that animates the entire festival becomes clearer than ever: to bring independent music and young people's artistic expressions into the places of work, where stories, trades, and communities are produced every day. Wood, machines, and sheds become the backdrop for an evening of concerts that speaks primarily to young people.
Each stop of Ingranaggi is much more than a live performance. Accompanying the music is a photographic exhibition by four young local photographers, who have told the stories of the companies hosting the festival through images. At each date, you can also find Ci Pensi Mai?, the fanzine from Radio Sonora, and the radio speakers open and accompany the concerts. A formula that combines business, music, photography, and youth culture in a single event.
Ingranaggi is a project of the Union of Municipalities of Bassa Romagna, which brings together nine Municipalities including Bagnacavallo, Lugo, Conselice, Fusignano, Alfonsine, Cotignola, Massa Lombarda, Sant'Agata sul Santerno, and Bagnara di Romagna. The review is supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region through European funds (Fesr and Fse+), within the framework of policies dedicated to young people and the valorization of local work and businesses.
The 2026 edition of Ingranaggi Festival, the twelfth, is divided into four stops between May and June, always within companies in Bassa Romagna. The closing evening takes place in Villanova di Bagnacavallo, a hamlet of the Municipality of Bagnacavallo (Province of Ravenna), at Ravaioli Legnami, and offers a double musical event with free admission.
As every year, the review combines indie music concerts, a photographic exhibition curated by four young local photographers, and the presence of Radio Sonora speakers, who open and accompany the performances.
