Jazz takes flight in Sacile
Il Volo del Jazz is the major autumn jazz showcase in Sacile, conceived and organized by Circolo Controtempo, the same organization from Cormòns that presents the renowned Jazz & Wine of Peace. From October to December, the town on the Livenza River becomes a focal point for genre enthusiasts, with a lineup that intertwines major international names and new voices from the contemporary scene.
Music without borders
The festival's spirit is that of jazz "without borders," with the declared intention of "speaking many languages": from the most classic jazz to world music fusions, from acoustic ensembles to more experimental proposals. Over the years, the main stage of the Teatro Zancanaro has hosted absolute leading figures such as Danilo Rea, Roberto Fonseca, and Nik Bärtsch, alongside emerging young talents, in a program designed for both connoisseurs and those approaching jazz for the first time.
More than just a concert series
In addition to concerts, Il Volo del Jazz offers side events — photographic exhibitions, meetings, and discussions dedicated to jazz legends and the relationship between music and cinema — that enrich the audience's experience. It's an opportunity to experience Sacile and its elegant Venetian palaces in autumn, guided by the notes of one of the most appreciated jazz festivals in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Il Volo del Jazz returns to Sacile, the autumn jazz festival organized by Circolo Controtempo. In 2026, the festival will again take place between October and December with concerts at the Teatro Zancanaro and in other city venues, under the banner of a "borderless" jazz that alternates major international names and new proposals from the contemporary scene.
As is tradition, the concerts will be accompanied by side events dedicated to jazz culture. The detailed program will be announced by Circolo Controtempo in the weeks preceding the festival's start.

How to get here
Sacile is served by the A28 motorway (Sacile Ovest and Est exits) and by the train station on the Venice-Udine line. The Teatro Zancanaro is located in the city center, within walking distance of the station.
