The international street artists' festival in the Land of Fairy Tales
Known as the "Land of Fairy Tales", Sarmede (province of Treviso) hosts Le Fiere del Teatro every year, an international festival dedicated to street artists. The streets and squares of the hilly village are transformed into stages for travelling shows, in keeping with the town's cultural heritage, also famous for the "Le Immagini della Fantasia" illustration exhibition.
The programme brings together contemporary circus companies, clowns, magicians, puppeteers, dancers, and travelling bands, who liven up the days with free and surprise performances along the streets of the centre. The street art format makes the shows accessible and engaging, capable of surprising both adults and children around every corner.
The heart of the festival is children and their families: alongside the shows, creative workshops, animated readings, and hands-on activities are offered. Sarmede's magical atmosphere, with its frescoed houses and hilly landscape, provides the ideal backdrop for an event that combines fun and culture.
After the pause in the 2025 edition, Le Fiere del Teatro returns to revive a tradition beloved by the Treviso area, bringing art, culture, and magic back to the Land of Fairy Tales.
After the cancellation of the 2025 edition, Le Fiere del Teatro returns to Sarmede in 2026. The international street artists' festival will liven up the village centre with travelling shows, bringing art, culture, and magic back to the "Land of Fairy Tales".
The schedule, historically held in October and spread over several days (particularly Sundays), and the detailed programme will be communicated by the organisation closer to the event on the Municipality of Sarmede website.
The detailed programme for the 2026 edition will be announced closer to the event. Sarmede can be reached from the Vittorio Veneto exit of the A27 motorway. The shows take place in the town centre.
