PAFF! Palazzo del Fumetto in Pordenone, housed in Villa di Parco Galvani, dedicates a major exhibition to Sergio Toppi, considered one of the most influential and original Italian comic artists. 'Toppi. Le profondità verticali' brings together over one hundred of the master's original boards, alongside complete comic strips and small sculptures created by the artist, for a journey that reveals his extraordinary graphic power.
Curated by Luca Raffaelli, with Michel Jans and Francesco Verni, the exhibition is divided into several sections: from the boards that illustrate his stylistic characteristics to the upper floors featuring original comics and sculptural works, concluding with an immersive narrative of a dreamlike atmosphere. A significant part is dedicated to Toppi's interest in Japan, a constant source of inspiration in his work.

The exhibition confirms Pordenone's role as one of Italy's reference points for the ninth art, thanks to PAFF! and its high-level exhibition programming. An event that dialogues with the city's journey towards Italian Capital of Culture 2027, promoting comics as an artistic language in all respects.

From May 23 to October 4, 2026, PAFF! Palazzo del Fumetto in Pordenone hosts 'Toppi. Le profondità verticali', a major exhibition dedicated to Sergio Toppi. On display are over one hundred original boards, three complete comic strips (two in color), small sculptures created by the artist, and a large-format projection of a full story.
Curated by Luca Raffaelli, with Michel Jans and Francesco Verni. The exhibition is divided into several sections, with a particular focus on Toppi's interest in Japan.
