Live concerts in the heart of nature in the Camellia Village of Compitese
The Hi-Ho Music Festival is a series of summer concerts held in the hamlets of Pieve di Compito and Sant'Andrea di Compito, in the municipality of Capannori, in the province of Lucca, in the heart of Tuscany. Established in 2024 by the Centro Culturale Compitese, the festival has quickly grown into one of the most beloved musical events of the Lucca summer, blending artistic quality with the beauty of a unique natural setting.
The Compitese area is known as the Borgo delle Camelie (Camellia Village) due to its extraordinary tradition of cultivating these flowers, celebrated every spring by the exhibition of ancient camellias of the Lucchesia region. It is precisely in this landscape of camellia groves, olive trees, and historic villas that the Hi-Ho Music Festival finds its home, offering a listening experience in touch with nature, far from the frenzy of large-scale events.
The festival's hallmark is the double-bill evening, which takes place across two locations:
The festival's philosophy is clear: to provide visibility to young talents already active on the national scene and offer space to local artists and their cultural projects, in a dialogue between singer-songwriter music, jazz, and sounds from around the world.
Each evening is accompanied by a bar and food area, offering charcuterie boards, vegetarian dishes, and gourmet sandwiches, making the Hi-Ho a convivial occasion as well as a musical one. Many of the concerts are free to attend, while a modest ticket price is required for the most popular events.
With its intimate atmosphere, careful selection of artists, and the natural backdrop of Compitese, the Hi-Ho Music Festival has carved out a special place in the summer calendar of the province of Lucca and Tuscany. It is an opportunity to discover emerging Italian music while exploring an authentic and lesser-known corner of the Lucchesia.
The 2026 edition of the Hi-Ho Music Festival takes place in the hamlets of Pieve and Sant'Andrea di Compito, in Capannori (Lucca), with its usual offering of live music immersed in the greenery of the Camellia Village. This year, the festival confirms its dual-stage format: concerts at 6 PM at the Camellietum Compitese and at 9 PM on the main stage at the Centro Culturale Compitese.
The 2026 festival kicks off on July 26, 2026. The full program with all artists, dates, and times is currently being published and will be announced on the official channels of the Centro Culturale Compitese (website camelielucchesia.it and Instagram profile @cc.compitese).
One of the dates already announced features:
The festival's structure remains the same for 2026: the Camellietum stage at 6 PM dedicated to acoustic projects and local talent, and the main stage at 9 PM for headline acts. The program will be updated as more artists are announced.
Among the events already announced is the concert by Francamente on July 26, featuring her new album Bitte Leben. The formula of concerts in nature with a dual stage between the Camellietum and the Centro Culturale Compitese is confirmed.
