Guerilla Live, the musical summer of Dro

Guerilla Live is one of the most beloved music festivals of the summer in Dro, a town in the Garda Trentino area in the province of Trento, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. Every Friday night, from mid-July to the end of August, the park of the former town hall on Via Cesare Battisti transforms into an open-air music arena, where live music becomes an opportunity for meeting and socializing for the entire Alto Garda community.

The philosophy of "guerrilla music"

The name of the festival evokes the idea of guerrilla music: independent acts, emerging bands, and sounds to be discovered far from the major commercial circuits. The format is that of the acoustic and semi-acoustic (unplugged) concert, which favors the intimacy of the sound and direct contact between the musicians and the audience. The lineups are often composed of musicians who are members of the association, joined by guests from the national and, occasionally, international scene.

A project by the Sonà Association

The festival is organized by the Sonà Cultural Music Association, an organization that has been promoting live music in Dro for years with the support of the Municipality and local sponsors. Guerilla Live was born in 2021, in the period following the pandemic, as a response to the need to come together and create bonds through music. Alongside the concerts, there is the Guerilla Bar and food areas, which make every evening a convivial moment suitable for all ages.

Evenings and atmosphere

Each appointment offers one or two musical sets, with genres ranging from pop to rock, blues to folk, and singer-songwriter tracks to revisited covers. The vibe is that of a relaxed summer village evening, with the audience sitting or standing among the trees of the park, a good drink in hand, and music accompanying the sunset and the night. The setting of the Via Battisti park is a landmark for the inhabitants of Dro and visitors to Garda Trentino.
