The Wild Boar Festival is one of the longest-standing and most beloved festivals in Guardea, a town in the Amerino region of the province of Terni. Now in its 26th edition, it celebrates wild boar, a game symbol of the cuisine of inland Umbria, as the star of the tables in Piazza Pietro Panfili.
Many Preparations, from Classic to Burger
The menu features wild boar in many variations: from the classic wild boar stew to pappardelle with ragù, to the original wild boar burger, a proposal that appeals to younger generations without betraying tradition. Table service is provided, and each evening is accompanied by music and dancing, making the festival a moment of celebration for the entire community.
