Golosando: Ladin flavors under the stars of Soraga

Golosando is the gastronomic event that brings Soraga di Fassa to life every summer, a small town in the Val di Fassa in the Province of Trento, in the heart of the Trentino-Alto Adige region. The evening takes place in the Prà del Preve, the green meadow stretching out at the foot of the village church: when the sun dips behind the Dolomites and the evening air fills with inviting scents, the meadow transforms into a large open-air dining room where residents and tourists gather to celebrate mountain cuisine.

A journey through Ladin cuisine

The common thread of the festival is Ladin culinary tradition, typical of the Dolomite valleys that still speak the Ladin language. The gastronomic route begins with canederli and a hearty barley soup, continues with polenta cooked in a copper cauldron served with sausage, pork shank, and local mountain cheeses, and concludes with traditional desserts from the Fassa valley. The dishes are prepared by volunteers from local associations alongside village hotel chefs, in a collaboration that is itself part of the event's spirit.

Live music and festive atmosphere

Golosando is not just a feast for the palate: live music accompanies the evening, inviting guests to dance and sing under the stars. The repertoire ranges from Tyrolean sounds to ballroom dancing and Italian pop classics, creating a convivial atmosphere perfect for the whole family.

A tradition of volunteering in Soraga

The event is organized by the Comitato Manifestazioni Soraga and is now considered one of the most beloved summer events in the Val di Fassa calendar. It is an opportunity to discover, in an authentic and unpretentious setting, the gastronomic identity of this Ladin valley and the deep bond between the community of Soraga and its mountains.
