A celebration of art and nature at the Alveare Verde in Avigliana
Gingerfest is a free cultural event held in Avigliana, a town in the Metropolitan City of Turin overlooking its famous lakes at the entrance to the Susa Valley. Organized by the Silviadizenzero ETS association, the festival was born in 2018 from a group of friends with the vision of creating a happy space to provide a home for the artists who live and breathe the valley.
For an entire day, the Alveare Verde Park on Corso Laghi transforms into a bustling hub of activity: creative artisan stalls, interactive workshops for all ages, thematic talks, performances, and live music. It is a festival designed to be experienced at a leisurely pace, wandering from stall to stall, stopping to listen to a discussion, or letting yourself be carried away by a sunset concert.
Silviadizenzero ETS has been working since 2013 to protect and promote nature and the environment, with close ties to dance, photography, art, and cuisine. Gingerfest is the synthesis of this vision: an event that weaves together environmental sustainability, creativity, and social connection. After its initial editions, the event found a permanent home in Avigliana at the Alveare Verde, a more accessible venue capable of welcoming a wide audience, with the patronage of the Municipality of Avigliana, which shares its values.
The festival is particularly attentive to the theme of the Susa Valley as a living territory, made of communities, artistic practices, and relationships: each edition proposes a common thread that invites reflection on living in the mountains consciously. It is an ideal destination for those seeking an authentic cultural experience just a few kilometers from Turin, immersed in the greenery and traditions of the Alpine Piedmont.
The seventh edition of Gingerfest returns on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Alveare Verde in Avigliana, from 3 PM until evening. The common thread this year is "Inhabiting a Valley. Practices of Artistic Resistance," a reflection on creativity as a form of cultural preservation in mountain areas. The day weaves together a market, meetings, activities for children, and music.
The Alveare Verde Park is located at Corso Laghi 100, in Avigliana (TO), in the lake area. By car, it can be reached via the A32 Turin-Bardonecchia motorway (Avigliana exit) or the SS25. By train, the Avigliana station is on the Turin-Modane line, with frequent connections from Turin Porta Nuova.
Admission to the festival is free.
The event takes place outdoors in a park: comfortable shoes are recommended, and a light jacket for the evening hours. The children's area and workshops make the day suitable for families.
