A new frontier for water sports on Lake Garda

In the heart of the Upper Garda region, in Torbole sul Garda (municipality of Nago-Torbole, in the province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige), the Garda Trentino Foil Days make their debut in 2026: a four-day sports festival entirely dedicated to foil, the technology revolutionizing water sports. The hydrodynamic appendage mounted under the board allows riders to lift progressively out of the water and literally fly above the lake's surface, providing spectacular imagery for the hundreds of enthusiasts who choose the Upper Garda as their wind capital every year.

From the One Hour Classic to the Foil Days

The event stems from the evolution of historic and beloved formats by the Circolo Surf Torbole, including the One Hour Classic Fin & Foil and the RRD One Hour Wing, endurance regattas that have enlivened the waters between the Veronese and Brescian shores of the lake for years. The famous One Hour is a race against time with a "hare" start, where each athlete must complete as many crossings as possible in one hour between two buoys. The new Garda Trentino Foil Days concept takes shape from this tradition, bringing together fin windsurfing, foil, and wingfoiling under a single brand, with unique starts and a formula designed to welcome athletes of all levels.

Disciplines and competitions

• One Hour Classic Fin & Foil: the historic endurance regatta in both traditional fin and foil versions;
• RRD One Hour Wing: the event dedicated to wingfoiling, the latest evolution of sailing sports;
• Wing Freestyle Show: exhibitions and competitions featuring tricks and performances on the water;

Expo Village and atmosphere

The Expo Village comes to life along the lakefront, with leading industry brands presenting their latest innovations and providing equipment for direct testing in the water: a unique opportunity to try the newest gear in contact with the technicians. There is no shortage of festive moments, with aperitifs, social dinners at the club, and the grand One Hour Beach Party, which accompanies athletes and the public during the event's evenings. The setting is the Upper Garda Trentino, where the constant Ora and Peler winds have made Torbole one of the most renowned destinations in the world for sailing sports.

Torbole sul Garda and the nearby village of Nago, overlooking the northern tip of the lake, have enjoyed a tourist and sporting vocation linked to the water and mountains for decades.
