The historic trade fair of Salento

The Galatina Trade Fair is one of the longest-running exhibition events in Puglia. Founded in 1949, it accompanied the economic and social life of this Salento city, in the heart of the province of Lecce, for decades before a long hiatus of about ten years. Its return in 2024 with the 64th edition, followed by the 2025 edition, has restored one of the most anticipated summer events to Galatina.

Where it takes place

The event is held in the renovated Exhibition Centre on Viale Ippolito De Maria, which returned to its historic site following major redevelopment works. Every year, the spaces host over one hundred exhibitors from across the region: crafts, trade, industry, construction, furniture, design, renewable energy, and services find a significant regional showcase here.

Between tradition and innovation

The Trade Fair is not just a commercial exhibition: it is a hub for cultural, musical, and fashion events that bring the evenings to life. In recent years, the fair has opened its doors to themes of innovation and digital technology, with meetings dedicated to local development, employment, and sustainable tourism.

• GustaFiera — the area dedicated to the flavors of Salento and Southern Italy, featuring live cooking, tastings, and specialties such as panzerotti, pasta all'assassina, granitas, Sicilian cannoli, cured meats, cheeses, and craft beers.
• GalaDigiTalks — the series of meetings on innovation, economic development, and sustainable tourism.
• Shows, live music, and fashion parades along the avenues of the exhibition centre.

An event for the whole city

With free admission and evening opening hours, the Galatina Trade Fair attracts families, curious visitors, and business operators from all over the province of Lecce. It is traditionally held at the end of June, coinciding with the city's patronal feast, combining the commercial aspect with the spirit of a traditional Apulian festival.
