An unconventional festival in the Asti Monferrato

Fuori dalle righe! is the event that transforms La Canonica in Pino d'Asti—a small village in the Province of Asti, Piedmont—into a vibrant laboratory of music, visual arts, and wellness for a weekend. The initiative is a collaboration between the Turnandrè association and Forme Canoniche APS, a group founded by six artists and craftswomen who have turned the parish's former rectory into an open cultural space. The event is supported by the Municipality of Pino d'Asti and the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo through the SparkZ – Giovani che attivano grant.

Saturday's program: music and movement

The first day, curated by Turnandrè, kicks off in the afternoon with the experiential workshop Parole in movimento (Words in Motion), which combines dance-movement therapy with Gestalt psychology to help participants connect with their bodies and emotions. The evening is dedicated to live music: at 6:00 PM, the Miriam Jitaru Quartet takes the stage for a refined jazz concert, while from 9:00 PM, the Block Ortica collective lights up the night with a DJ set spanning trap, techno, black music, Latin, bass, drill, and noise.

Sunday: Wine & Comics

The second day revolves around comics and local wines under the Wine & Comics banner. The morning is reserved for a comic book workshop designed for both adults and children, while comic and illustration exhibitors will animate the spaces of La Canonica throughout the day. In the afternoon, the Powerillusi concert will feature their album Algoritmi Moderni, accompanied by a graphic novel by Sbam Comics and a book signing session.

Food and hospitality

Admission to concerts and workshops is free, while food and drink are available for purchase by reservation: boards, sandwiches, and vegetarian options provided by La Canonica, and on Sunday, artisanal wines and cuisine from the Cavalieri della Tavola Rotonda. An informal and convivial experience that celebrates the products of the Monferrato region.
