A fair that tells the story of the Mera plain
The Fiera di Somaggia is one of the most cherished events in the Municipality of Samolaco, in the province of Sondrio, at the entrance to Valchiavenna. It takes place in the hamlet of Somaggia, on the plain crossed by the Mera river, where the agricultural and livestock tradition of the lower valley finds a showcase every year.
What to expect
The fair combines the rural soul with the village festival atmosphere: livestock exhibition and market, stalls of typical and gastronomic products, craft stands, and activities along Via Don Giuseppe Cornaggia and the Campo Fiera area. It is a day designed for families and the curious, where you can stroll among the stalls and taste local specialties.
A territory to discover
Samolaco is strategically located between Lake Mezzola and the entrance to Valchiavenna, in a landscape of meadows, vineyards, and ancient rural settlements. The fair is an excellent opportunity to combine a visit to the event with the discovery of the surrounding territory, amidst the nature and traditions of alpine Lombardy.
