A centuries-old fair in the heart of Friuli

The Fiera di San Simone is one of the oldest and most deeply rooted events in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Every year, at the end of October, it enlivens Codroipo, an important centre in Medio Friuli, with a tradition passed down for centuries that attracts visitors from all over the region. Spread over two weekends, the fair transforms the town into a large hub of events, flavours, and culture.

Over two hundred events

The Fiera di San Simone programme features around 200 events: exhibitions, shows, displays, cultural moments, family activities, food stalls, and spaces dedicated to local excellences. It is a complete showcase of Friulian identity, where the fair's ancient commercial vocation intertwines with cultural and entertainment offerings for all ages.

Traditions: Mass in Friulian and the Premi San Simon

Among the most cherished events are the Mass in the Friulian language, celebrated on Sundays, and the awarding of the Premi San Simon, a prestigious literary prize in marilenghe, the Friulian language, which concludes the fair. These are moments that testify to the event's strong connection with the region's culture and identity.

The historic train and Villa Manin

One of the most beloved attractions is the historic train that, on the days of the fair, connects Trieste to Codroipo: a journey back in time that allows visitors to reach the event and visit, with a single ticket, the Museum of Vintage Carriages in San Martino and the splendid Villa Manin in Passariano, one of the most important historic residences in Friuli, which hosts exhibitions and events.

Codroipo and Medio Friuli

Organised by the Municipality of Codroipo, the Fiera di San Simone is the ideal opportunity to discover Medio Friuli, including the majestic Villa Manin, its gardens, and the rich gastronomic heritage of the Friulian plain. A celebration that combines historical memory, culture, and tradition in one of the region's most beloved annual events.
