A historic festival on Lake Trasimeno

The Festival of Filleted Fish is one of the most established gastronomic events in the Lake Trasimeno area. It takes place in Sant'Arcangelo sul Trasimeno, a hamlet in the municipality of Magione, in the province of Perugia, and is organized by the Pro Loco Sant'Arcangelo sul Trasimeno. With over forty editions to its name, it represents a tradition passed down through generations.

Flavors of the lake

The absolute star is the fish from Lake Trasimeno, served according to traditional recipes: pasta with perch, mixed fried lake fish, skewers, the famous tegamaccio (lake fish soup), and eel. Simple and authentic cuisine that tells the story of the millennia-old relationship between the lakeside communities and their lake.

Music and celebration

In addition to gastronomy, the festival offers a rich entertainment program: live orchestras for ballroom dancing, DJ sets, and karaoke nights liven up the summer nights of Sant'Arcangelo, attracting visitors from all over the region.
