Magione celebrates green gold

Olivagando is the event dedicated to Trasimeno extra virgin olive oil that enlivens the historic center of Magione, in the province of Perugia, every November. For two days, the village becomes a showcase for local olive growing, during a period that coincides with the harvest and milling season.

From the oil mill to the table

The farms and oil mills in the area open their doors to visitors with free guided tours and tastings, during which experts explain the phases of harvesting, milling, and oil extraction. It's an opportunity to get to know the work and passion behind every bottle of extra virgin olive oil up close.

A rich program

Olivagando is not just about taste: the program includes walks and excursions through the olive groves, organoleptic paths, show cooking, workshops for children, an exhibition market of typical products and crafts, painting and photography contests, musical and theatrical performances. There are also moments dedicated to the tradition of olive oil and its deep connection with the community.

The event is promoted by the Municipality of Magione and represents one of the most anticipated autumn events in the Lake Trasimeno area, capable of combining food and wine, culture, and the enhancement of the Umbrian rural landscape.
