Roman street food takes centre stage at the Textile Museum Park
The Festival della Carbonara — Cucine Romane is the street food event bringing the flavours of the Capital to Busto Arsizio, in the province of Varese. Set in the green surroundings of the Parco del Museo del Tessile, on Via Volta, it's a gastronomic celebration dedicated to the great classics of Roman tradition.
The undisputed queen is carbonara, accompanied by the other pillars of Roman cuisine: gricia, amatriciana, cacio e pepe. There are also the most typical appetizers and street foods — supplì, pinsa, carciofi alla giudia — and specialities like coda alla vaccinara and porchetta di Ariccia, right through to desserts like maritozzi. All prepared by street chefs and paired with a selection of craft beers.
In addition to the gastronomic offerings, the festival features live music and entertainment for all ages, in a convivial atmosphere with ample seating areas to enjoy the dishes. The evenings are enlivened by concerts and DJ sets that accompany the discovery of Roman flavours.
With free entry and no reservation required, the Festival della Carbonara has established itself as one of the most anticipated street food events of the Busto summer, capable of drawing Roman cuisine enthusiasts and families from all over the Alto Milanese region to the Parco del Museo del Tessile.
The 2026 edition of the Festival della Carbonara will be held at the Parco del Museo del Tessile in Busto Arsizio from June 6 to 8, 2026. Live music and entertainment are also included. Free entry and no reservation required.
