About Legnano in Musica
Two programmes, one season of music
Legnano in Musica is the musical project promoted by the Municipality of Legnano (Province of Milan) which brings together, from February to June, two distinct but complementary programmes. An initiative designed to bring live music - both classical and popular - to the most beautiful places in the city of Alto Milanese.
Musical Afternoons
Now in its fourth season, Musical Afternoons is dedicated to young talents, particularly the winners of the Sioli Prize. The programme alternates opera arias, piano recitals, and contemporary chamber ensembles, offering a high-level showcase for emerging performers.
Music Outside the Centre
The novelty is the Music Outside the Centre series, which moves away from traditional venues to reach the neighbourhoods and hamlets of Legnano. The music ranges from blues to jazz to world music (with unexpected incursions like Chinese guzheng). Each concert is often preceded by an introductory talk, led by scholars and musicians such as philosopher Carlo Serra and guitarist Enrico Merlin, to enhance the listening experience.

Legnano in Musica — edition 2026
From February to June 2026, the Municipality of Legnano presents Legnano in Musica, with concerts held throughout the city. Alongside the Musical Afternoons dedicated to young talents, Music Outside the Centre debuts, bringing music to the neighbourhoods with a journey through blues, jazz, and world music.

Musical Afternoons (4th season)
Four concerts featuring young winners of the Sioli Prize: opera arias, piano recitals, and contemporary chamber ensembles.
Music Outside the Centre
The series alternates in-depth talks and concerts the following day:
- Introductory talks by Professor Carlo Serra (philosopher) and Enrico Merlin (guitarist)
- Live concerts of blues, jazz, and world music (including Chinese guzheng)
The events take place at the Visconti Castle (Previati Hall, Gelsi Courtyard), the Bonvesin and Rodari Auditoriums, the Olmina Parish, and various city churches (S. Pietro, San Giovanni, SS.
