Bellano's Patrons

The Festa Patronale dei Santi Nazaro e Celso (Patronal Festival of Saints Nazaro and Celso) is the event that every year, on the last weekend of July, enlivens Bellano, on Lake Como, in the province of Lecco. A celebration that combines the religious dimension, with a solemn mass in honour of the patron saints, and the popular one, with fairs, music, gastronomy, and shows on the lake.

The Lucie and the Night Regatta

The identity heart of the festival are the Lucie, the traditional rowing boats of Lake Como made famous by The Betrothed. During the festival, it is possible to take trips on a Lucia departing from the pier, while in the evening the night regatta of the Lucie, with the Olimpio Molinari Trophy, offers one of the most anticipated spectacles, followed by the grand fireworks over the lake.

Fair, Music, and Gastronomy

The Fiera dei Patroni (Patrons' Fair) takes place along the lakefront, with stalls and exhibitors, while in the square, local street food offers regional specialities such as sciatt, taragna, ribs, and fried gnocchi. The evenings are accompanied by concerts from the Corpo Musicale Bellanese (Bellano Musical Corps) and musical events in the square.

A Community Festival on Lake Como

Organised by the Municipality of Bellano together with the parish and local associations, the patronal festival is a moment of strong cohesion for the village. Between faith, lakeside traditions, and conviviality, it tells the identity of Bellano and its deep connection with Lake Como.
