In Montereale Valcellina, a village in the foothills of Pordenone at the entrance to Valcellina, the Festa dello Sport is much more than a series of competitions. It's a weekend where the Polisportiva Comunale (Municipal Sports Club) opens its grounds on Via Stazione to the entire community, blending sports, nature, good food, and live music. The spirit is that of traditional Friulian village festivals: sport becomes the pretext for getting together.
Many Disciplines, For Everyone
The program offers a good variety: volleyball (including on grass), judo for adults and children, canoeing demonstrations at the nearby Lake Barcis, archery, and self-defense. Open training sessions, free trials, and demonstrations alternate in a schedule designed to introduce people of all ages to different sports in a welcoming environment surrounded by greenery.
