About GoGo 7s

GoGo 7s is the international seven-a-side rugby tournament that brings teams and delegations from all over Europe and the world to Pordenone. A fast and spectacular Olympic discipline, rugby sevens becomes a public event here, with matches, exhibitions, and initiatives dedicated to young people, in line with Pordenone Italian Capital of Culture 2027.

Seven-a-side rugby takes to the streets

GoGo 7s is the international tournament for rugby sevens, the Olympic version of rugby: teams of seven players, fast and intense matches, continuous spectacle. In Pordenone, the event leaves traditional stadiums to become a city celebration, with a pitch set up in the squares and the public forming the backdrop to the challenges.

International teams in Pordenone

The tournament brings together top-level national teams and delegations: participants include Italy, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, the Italian franchises Benetton and Zebre, Fiamme Oro, and delegations from New Zealand, the historic home of rugby. A lineup that makes Pordenone a benchmark for sevens in northeastern Italy.

Sport, culture, and territory

Organized by the Italian Rugby Federation together with Rugby Pordenone, the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region, and local institutions, GoGo 7s is part of the events linked to Pordenone 2027, Italian Capital of Culture. In addition to the matches, the event offers collateral initiatives such as an exhibition of historical jerseys from the Rugby Museum and activities dedicated to engaging younger audiences.

Atmosphere

Between tries, tackles, and cheering, GoGo 7s brings the energy and values of rugbyโ€”respect, loyalty, the third halfโ€”to the city, transforming Pordenone into a large, free, open-air sports village for everyone.
