Seven days of celebration, tradition, and Polesine flavours in Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII
The Fiera di Lusia is one of the most cherished summer events in the Polesine region, in the municipality of Lusia, province of Rovigo. For seven days in July, Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII becomes the heart of a village festival that combines agricultural tradition, gastronomy, and entertainment.
Lusia is famous for its vegetable gardens and its quality-marked vegetables: the fair celebrates this heritage with a gastronomic stand offering Polesine cuisine and local vegetables, alongside vegetarian and vegan options. Cooking shows and tastings complete the culinary journey.
The programme alternates musical evenings and tributes, cabaret, exhibitions, car and motorcycle rallies, and parades. To conclude the festival, as tradition dictates, the procession with the statue of the Madonna del Carmine takes place through the village streets. The event is organised by the Pro Loco of Lusia.
The 2026 edition of the Fiera di Lusia marks an important milestone: the 50th edition of the event, expected in July in Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII in Lusia (RO).
The established format of the fair includes seven days of celebration with musical evenings, cooking shows, cabaret, exhibitions, car and motorcycle rallies, and parades, as well as the gastronomic stand with Polesine cuisine, vegetables from Lusia's gardens, and vegetarian and vegan options. The event concludes with the procession of the Madonna del Carmine. The detailed programme for the anniversary will be published by the Pro Loco of Lusia.
