The festival of corn and peasant tradition
In Grezzago, a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Milan overlooking the Adda river, the Festa della Pannocchia is the event of the year: three days in which the town gathers around what has been its identity product for centuries, corn. Organized by Pro Loco Grezzago ETS with the patronage of the Municipality, the festival recovers and passes down the rural culture of the Martesana.
Between food stands and the Palio delle Corti
The heart of the festival are the food stands, where the unmissable roasted corn on the cob accompanies polenta, traditional peasant dishes, and street food offerings. Alongside the food, the program is filled with entertainment: stalls along the streets of the center and in Piazza Argentina, games and workshops for children, shows, folk dances, and the Palio delle Corti, the challenge between the neighborhoods which is the most anticipated and identity-defining moment of the event.
A community telling its story
More than just a food festival, the Festa della Pannocchia is an occasion for reunion for the inhabitants of Grezzago and neighboring towns, a weekend in September when the small community of the Martesana stages its rural history with the warmth of a village festival.
Festa della Pannocchia — edition 2026
The Festa della Pannocchia returns to Grezzago in 2026: Pro Loco Grezzago ETS organizes the festival every year on a weekend in September, and the event confirms itself as the highlight of the village calendar. After the 8th edition in 2024 (September 6-8), the event continues its annual tradition.

The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by Pro Loco Grezzago in the weeks preceding the event. According to the established format of recent editions, the festival spans three days with: opening of food stands featuring corn on the cob, polenta, and street food; stalls in Piazza Argentina and the streets of the center; games and workshops for children at the sports center; shows, folk dances, and live music; the "Human Foosball" tournament and, on Sunday, the traditional Palio delle Corti with a closing dance evening.
