The Fornasotto festival
FestinForna is the big autumn festival of the Fornasotto hamlet, in Pontirolo Nuovo, a municipality in the plain in the province of Bergamo. Dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel - the patron saint celebrated on September 29th - the event takes place in October and lasts for about ten days, becoming one of the most anticipated events in the area.
Ten days of music, food, and fun
The program is rich and varied: musical and dancing evenings, tombola games (including "super tombola" with shopping vouchers), tribute bands, children's workshops with a play bus, and a sports car rally. The food offerings include a bar, pizzeria, and restaurant serving traditional dishes, open in the evenings and, on Sundays, also for lunch. It's the tried-and-tested formula of Bergamo village festivals, capable of uniting different generations.
A festival made by the community
FestinForna is organized by Casa Emmaus together with the Pastoral Community of Pontirolo, Canonica, and Fara. The 20th edition was held in 2025, a sign of the longevity and deep roots of this event which, every autumn, brings together the community of Pontirolo Nuovo, in the province of Bergamo, around the celebration of its saint.
FestinForna — edition 2026
For 2026, FestinForna returns to Fornasotto di Pontirolo Nuovo in its usual October slot, with an event spanning about ten days. The festival, dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel, confirms its usual format: musical and dancing evenings, tombola games, tribute bands, children's workshops, a car rally, and a restaurant with a pizzeria.
The detailed program, with dates and guests, will be released by Casa Emmaus and the pastoral community in the weeks prior.
