San Zeno, Patron Saint of Cassano d'Adda

The Festa del Paese is the patronal feast of Cassano d'Adda, a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Milan located along the Adda River, bordering the Province of Bergamo. The patron saint, San Zeno, is celebrated on the first weekend of October, and around this date, the town organizes several days of festivities that combine religious observance with a rich program of popular events.

From Street Food to Fireworks on the Adda

The festival runs from Friday evening to Sunday, with a varied program. Among the most anticipated events are ADDaENTAMI street food, bringing street flavors to town; the sagra (local market) with stalls and stands; and especially the fireworks on Sunday evening over Isola Borromeo, the picturesque islet on the Adda River that provides a spectacular backdrop for the festival's closing.

The Children's Festival

A special place is reserved for the little ones with the children's festival in Piazza Perrucchetti, featuring games, entertainment, and activities designed for families. The Festa del Paese thus becomes a moment of involvement for all generations, from the youngest to the oldest.
