The Sagra del Risotto alla Roncellese is the most cherished gastronomic festival in Roncello, a small municipality in the Province of Monza and Brianza bordering the Milanese area. At the heart of the event is the specialty that gives the town its name: risotto with black wine and sausage, a local traditional recipe that draws visitors from all over Brianza each year.
Three days of food and music
For the duration of the festival, the Piazza Don Gnocchi festival area becomes an open-air restaurant. The kitchens open for evening dinners, while on Sundays lunch is also served: alongside the Roncellese risotto, other dishes from Lombardy's peasant cuisine are featured. The evenings are accompanied by live music, in a convivial and popular atmosphere that involves the entire community.
Part of the Brianza in Corte circuit
The festival is among the historic events supported by the Brianza in Corte 2026 project, an initiative coordinated by the Municipality of Concorezzo and funded by the Lombardy Region, which promotes the region's courtyards, farmhouses, and gastronomic traditions, together with the Municipalities of Vimercate, Agrate Brianza, Bellusco, Cavenago, and Roncello. This recognition confirms the Sagra del Risotto's deep roots in the Brianza calendar.
Sagra del Risotto — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Sagra del Risotto alla Roncellese is included among the historic events of the Brianza in Corte 2026 project, funded by the Lombardy Region. Precise dates are to be determined: based on recent editions, the festival takes place on the first weekend of October, over three days. The established format is confirmed: kitchens open in the evening for dinners featuring risotto with black wine and sausage and traditional dishes, lunch on Sunday, and live music evenings in the Piazza Don Gnocchi festival area.
