The Guardea Beer Festival
The Beer Festival is one of the most popular events of the summer in Guardea, a small municipality in the Amerino area, province of Terni. For three evenings, usually at the end of June, Piazza Pietro Panfili — the heart of the village — fills with tables, beer taps, and live music.

Organized by A.S.D. Guardea, the festival offers the classic winning formula: draught beer, a food stand with dishes suitable for accompanying a pint, and musical evenings that get audiences of all ages dancing. The Beer Festival ideally kicks off the long season of festivals and sagre (food festivals) of the Guardea summer, which then continues with the Sagra degli Arrosticini (Skewered Meat Festival), the Sagra del Cinghiale (Wild Boar Festival), and the historic Sagra degli Gnocchi (Gnocchi Festival). For those who want to discover the less touristy side of Umbria, Guardea offers a surprisingly rich summer calendar for a village of its size.

How to get there
Guardea (TR) is located in the Amerino area, reachable by car from the E45 (exit towards Baschi/Guardea) or from the SS205 Amerina. The festival takes place in Piazza Pietro Panfili, in the centre of the village.
Times and costs
Free admission. Beer and food are paid for at the stands. The evenings generally start after dinner and continue with music until late at night.
Tips
Park on the outskirts of the centre and walk to the square on busier evenings.
