The village festival
Borgo in Festa is the most important event in Porano, a small municipality in the province of Terni located a few kilometers from Orvieto. For four evenings, the medieval historic center comes alive with four evenings "dedicated to gastronomic tradition, music, and conviviality".
Gastronomy and music in the squares
The festival's formula is well-tested: every evening, starting from 8:00 PM, the food stalls open with traditional local dishes, while from 9:30 PM the live music begins. The unique feature is that the four squares in the center — La Porticciola, Il Piazzone, Al Vicolo, and Al Poggetto — simultaneously host different bands, allowing visitors to move between stages. There are also open cellars and tastings of typical products from the Orvieto area.
A community event
Organized by the Pro Loco of Porano, the festival is an eagerly awaited moment for the community and an opportunity to discover a village in southern Umbria rich in history, close to the beauties of Orvieto and the Lake Bolsena area. To assist visitors, digital tools such as the menu via app and the online map of the squares have been introduced in recent years.
Borgo in Festa — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Borgo in Festa takes place in Porano from Thursday, June 25 to Sunday, June 28. The formula remains the established one: every evening, the food stalls open at 8:00 PM and the live music starts at 9:30 PM in the four squares of the historic center — La Porticciola, Il Piazzone, Al Vicolo, and Al Poggetto — each with its own band.
There are also open cellars and tastings of typical products. For visitors, a digital menu is available via the SagraSmart platform and an online map of the route.

How to get there
Porano can be reached by car from the A1 motorway (Orvieto exit), then continuing for a few kilometers towards the village. The nearest train station is Orvieto.
