About Green Music Festival
When music meets the landscape
The Festival Internazionale Green Music is a musical event that spans the whole of Umbria, with stops in many towns in the region, including Orvieto (province of Terni). Conceived and directed by the Umbrian pianist Maurizio Mastrini, the festival offers immersive concerts designed to transform woods, clearings, and natural places into true open-air theatres.
A zero-impact festival
The distinctive feature of the event is its total sustainability: the events are powered by solar panels, thanks to a technological partnership, and admission is completely free for enthusiasts and tourists. The festival enjoys the High Patronage of the European Parliament and the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of the Environment, the Umbria Region, and numerous local institutions.
An international dimension
Although rooted in the Umbrian territory, the Green Music has gained an international dimension, culminating each year in a symbolic concert by Maestro Mastrini at Carnegie Hall in New York. Amidst musical performances, words, and nature, the event has become a benchmark for those seeking a different cultural experience, far from conventional stages.
Green Music Festival — edition 2026
The tenth edition of the Festival Internazionale Green Music celebrates ten years of music and nature with over 70 free events distributed throughout Umbria, from June 1 to September 20, 2026. The stated goal is to surpass the 22,000 spectators of the previous edition.
The event confirms its sustainable identity, with events powered by solar panels, and benefits from the High Patronage of the European Parliament. The Orvieto stop is one of the central moments of the program.

- Friday, July 31 — Debut of «Le parole che non ti ho detto», an original project combining the performance of actor Giorgio Pasotti with the music of pianist Maurizio Mastrini

The festival events are free and spread across numerous municipalities in Umbria. The Orvieto stop can be reached by train (Rome-Florence line) or by car from the A1 motorway, Orvieto exit.
