Craft beer and rock festival in the Monti Dauni

Fermenti della Valle del Fortore is the summer highlight that lights up Roseto Valfortore every July. Perched in the Monti Dauni, on the western edge of the province of Foggia in Puglia, this village is officially one of the most beautiful in Italy. Originally conceived as a celebration of craft beer and rock music, the festival has carved out a significant place in the regional summer calendar, drawing visitors from across the Fortore area.
The festival's heart beats in the historic squares, where food stalls serve traditional rustic dishes paired with craft beers and typical products from the Valle del Fortore. As beer flows and local specialties fill the air, the main stage hosts live concerts that continue late into the night, transforming Roseto Valfortore into a grand open-air venue.
One of the most anticipated moments is the Roseto Rock Festival, a competition showcasing emerging local talent. Over the years, the stage has hosted international rock cover bands and local groups alike, with evenings often hosted by radio personalities like Virgin Radio's Maurizio Faulisi, known as Dr. Feelgood. The musical lineup is diverse, ranging from big bands to late-night DJ sets.
The event often coincides with the Festa dell'Accoglienza, a celebration dedicated to welcoming back Roseto natives living abroad. This deeply felt identity-building moment honors the bond between the village and its sons and daughters scattered across the globe. In this sense, Fermenti della Valle del Fortore is much more than a beer festival: it is an opportunity to rediscover the roots, memories, and folk traditions of a Monti Dauni community.
Visiting Roseto Valfortore during the festival is the perfect excuse to explore its stone alleys, tower houses, and historic fountains. The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Roseto Valfortore with the patronage and collaboration of the Municipality, as part of the summer program that keeps the village buzzing from June to October.
Fermenti della Valle del Fortore returns, as every summer, to Roseto Valfortore in the Monti Dauni, in the province of Foggia. The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: the event usually takes place in July, with evenings dedicated to craft beer, typical products of the Fortore, and live rock music. The detailed program will be published by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event.
Roseto Valfortore is located in the Monti Dauni, in the far west of the Foggia province. By car, it can be reached via the A16 motorway (exit towards the Subappennino Dauno) or the A14, continuing along the provincial roads of the Fortore. The nearest train station is Foggia, from where you must continue by car or local bus connections.
Access to the squares and concerts is generally free; craft beer tastings and food at the stalls are available for purchase. We recommend checking the latest dates and programs on the official channels of the Pro Loco and the Municipality of Roseto Valfortore.
