The Abruzzo craft beer festival at the Pescara Tourist Port
Fermenti d'Abruzzo is the craft beer festival held at the Marina di Pescara Tourist Port, located on the waterfront of the Adriatic capital in the province of Pescara, Abruzzo. Created to showcase and promote the thriving regional brewing movement, it has become one of the most anticipated food and wine events of the Abruzzo summer, attracting beer lovers, curious visitors, and families throughout the evenings of late August.
The heart of the event is the showcase dedicated to craft breweries from Abruzzo and local beer firms, offering dozens of different labels for the public to enjoy. Alongside the taps, a rich calendar of guided tastings and workshops is designed to provide an in-depth look at the world of craft beer: styles, raw materials, production techniques, and food pairings, often featuring the participation of master brewers.
Fermenti d'Abruzzo is about more than just beer: every evening, the Marina di Pescara lights up with live music, DJ sets, and a street food area featuring food trucks and culinary delights. The setting at the tourist port, amidst boats and the waterfront, creates a relaxed and convivial atmosphere that has made the festival a classic of Pescara's summer nights, with free admission and an area accessible to everyone.
The event is organized by Spray Records in partnership with the Marina di Pescara and Omerika, with the support of the Chieti Pescara Chamber of Commerce and the Abruzzo Region, and is part of the wider summer program of the Tourist Port. The festival highlights the regional brewing supply chain and the food and wine identity of Abruzzo, combining the promotion of local producers, craft beer culture, and entertainment in one of the most evocative locations on the Adriatic coast.
The 2026 edition of Fermenti d'Abruzzo will be held from August 27 to 31, 2026, at the Marina di Pescara Tourist Port, confirming its status as one of the highlights of the Estatica summer program. For five evenings, the Pescara waterfront will host Abruzzo craft breweries, featuring tastings, workshops, live music, DJ sets, and a street food area.
A gourmet dinner in collaboration with Slow Food Abruzzo is also planned. The complete program, including the list of participating breweries and the musical line-up, will be published by the organizers on the official website and social media channels in the weeks leading up to the event.
The festival takes place at the Marina di Pescara Tourist Port, along the Lungomare Papa Giovanni XXIII. By car, it can be reached from the Pescara exit of the A14 motorway by following signs for the city center and the waterfront. By train, Pescara Centrale station is just a few minutes from the tourist port. The Abruzzo Airport is located a short distance from the city.
Admission to the festival area is free, with stands opening in the evening (approximately from 7:00 PM). Beer and food consumption must be paid for at individual stands and food trucks.
Pescara offers numerous accommodation options along the waterfront and in the city center. It is recommended to check the official website and the festival's social media channels for the detailed program, concert times, and any reservations for gourmet dinners.
