About Fermenti d'Abruzzo

Fermenti d'Abruzzo is the festival dedicated to Abruzzo's craft beers, bringing the Marina di Pescara Tourist Port to life every late summer. For several consecutive evenings, the waterfront transforms into a vibrant brewing village featuring regional breweries, dozens of labels to sample, workshops, gourmet dinners, street food, and live music. This well-established, free-entry event celebrates beer culture, conviviality, and the promotion of the Abruzzo region on the Adriatic coast.

A festival dedicated to Abruzzo craft beer

Fermenti d'Abruzzo is the craft beer festival held at the Marina di Pescara Tourist Port, located on the waterfront of the Adriatic capital in the province of Pescara, Abruzzo. Created to showcase and promote the thriving regional brewing movement, it has become one of the most anticipated food and wine events of the Abruzzo summer, attracting beer lovers, curious visitors, and families throughout the evenings of late August.

Breweries, tastings, and beer culture

The heart of the event is the showcase dedicated to craft breweries from Abruzzo and local beer firms, offering dozens of different labels for the public to enjoy. Alongside the taps, a rich calendar of guided tastings and workshops is designed to provide an in-depth look at the world of craft beer: styles, raw materials, production techniques, and food pairings, often featuring the participation of master brewers.

  • Wide selection of Abruzzo craft beers, including gluten-free options
  • Guided tastings and workshops hosted by producers
  • Workshops to discover the secrets of brewing
  • Gourmet dinners and pairings in collaboration with local businesses

Music, street food, and seaside atmosphere

Fermenti d'Abruzzo is about more than just beer: every evening, the Marina di Pescara lights up with live music, DJ sets, and a street food area featuring food trucks and culinary delights. The setting at the tourist port, amidst boats and the waterfront, creates a relaxed and convivial atmosphere that has made the festival a classic of Pescara's summer nights, with free admission and an area accessible to everyone.

A local event

The event is organized by Spray Records in partnership with the Marina di Pescara and Omerika, with the support of the Chieti Pescara Chamber of Commerce and the Abruzzo Region, and is part of the wider summer program of the Tourist Port. The festival highlights the regional brewing supply chain and the food and wine identity of Abruzzo, combining the promotion of local producers, craft beer culture, and entertainment in one of the most evocative locations on the Adriatic coast.
