The agricultural, artisanal and community fair of Macello, in the heart of the Pinerolo area
The Fera ed Masel is the most anticipated event of the year in Macello, a small town in the Pinerolo plains in the Province of Turin, Piedmont. Every year, as spring arrives, the town center transforms into a large open-air market celebrating rural traditions, local agriculture, and regional crafts. The name itself, in the Piedmontese dialect, refers to the "Fair of Macello": an event rooted in the local rural culture that has grown in recent years to become a major attraction for the entire Pellice Valley and the Pinerolo plains.
Along the town's streets and squares, you will find around 100 exhibitors: agricultural producers, artisans, food industry professionals, and a section dedicated to agricultural machinery, symbolizing the meeting of tradition and innovation that characterizes the local primary sector. Alongside the market, the day comes alive with roaming music, street theater and circus performances, workshops, and activities for both adults and children.
The Fera ed Masel is not just a commercial fair: it is, above all, a moment of celebration for the community of Macello and neighboring towns. Free guided tours of the castle and monuments allow visitors to discover the history of the village, while the presence of agri-influencers and guests linked to the world of sustainable agriculture gives the event a forward-looking perspective on the future of farming. It is the perfect opportunity to spend a Sunday in the open air, surrounded by authentic flavors, culture, and entertainment, immersed in the landscape of the Piedmontese plains.
The event is designed for families, children, young people, and enthusiasts of agriculture and traditions. Admission is completely free and all activities are complimentary, making the Fera ed Masel an ideal day trip from Pinerolo, Turin, and the entire Turin metropolitan area.
The seventh edition of the Fera ed Masel brought the center of Macello to life on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with a program dedicated to Piedmontese traditions, agriculture, and local culture. The day's highlights included around 100 exhibitors, ranging from agricultural producers and artisans to food industry professionals, alongside an area dedicated to agricultural machinery. The event also featured music, performances, and free activities for all ages, creating a festive atmosphere for the entire Pinerolo community.
Special guests included agri-influencers Iulieetta and Davide Gomiero, who are dedicated to promoting local agriculture on social media.
The Fera ed Masel traditionally takes place on a Sunday in March, from morning until late afternoon.
