About Fera d'le Capline

The Fera d'le Capline is the traditional spring fair of Pinasca, a small town in the Chisone Valley, in the Province of Turin. A day entirely dedicated to dog lovers and local village life: a market with around sixty craft and hobbyist exhibitors, the famous '6-legged walk' along the local roads and trails, the Pinasca dog show, children's entertainment, and a delicious 'marenda sinoira' to close the festivities. Free admission for all.

The village festival of Pinasca

The Fera d'le Capline is the spring event that brings the center of Pinasca to life, a town in the Chisone Valley in the Province of Turin, in the heart of western Piedmont. Inheriting the local fair tradition, once tied to the third Thursday of May, the event has been renewed, transforming into a Sunday dedicated entirely to our four-legged friends and community spirit.

The market and exhibitors

From the early morning, along Via Nazionale and the town center streets, the market unfolds with about 60 exhibitors of crafts and hobbies. Stalls, local products, and artisanal creations provide the backdrop for a festive day that attracts residents and visitors from across the valley.

Dog-friendly: the 6-legged walk

The heart of the Fera is the 6-legged walk, a non-competitive walk of about 5 kilometers (with an elevation gain of about 190 meters) along the roads and trails around Pinasca, open to everyone, with or without a dog. For those without a four-legged friend, it is possible to participate by accompanying dogs from local shelters, upon registration.

The dog show and demonstrations

The day continues with the dog review and the Pinasca dog show, featuring demonstrations by dog trainers and awards given in various categories: the oldest dog, the youngest, the smallest, the largest, and the one chosen by the children, who make up a fun jury. No pedigree is required: the festival is all about fun and respect for animals.

For families and the marenda sinoira

There is entertainment for the little ones, while the day concludes with the marenda sinoira, the typical Piedmontese snack based on local products. A community festival, organized by the Municipality of Pinasca together with the Pro Loco and local associations, which combines tradition, gastronomy, and a love for animals.

Fera d'le Capline — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of the Fera d'le Capline took place on Sunday, May 17, in Pinasca, featuring the market, the 6-legged walk, the 2nd Pinasca Dog Show, and, as a new addition, the marenda sinoira replacing the traditional 'Mangia e Cammina'. A festive day dedicated to our four-legged friends, organized by the Municipality and the Pro Loco.

The Fera d'le Capline 2026 was held on Sunday, May 17 in the center of Pinasca, with free admission and a day entirely dedicated to the canine world and village life. The big news of this edition was the marenda sinoira, the typical Piedmontese snack that replaced the 'Mangia e Cammina' gastronomic route of previous years.

The success of the 6-legged walk and the 2nd Pinasca Dog Show was confirmed, with dog demonstrations and awards in the usual categories, also judged by children.
