Three days of traditions, games, and local flavors in the hamlet of Favrio, Fiavè
In the heart of the Giudicarie Esteriori, immersed in the UNESCO Alpi Ledrensi e Judicaria Biosphere Reserve, the small hamlet of Favrio—home to just over eighty residents, perched at 650 meters on the slopes of Monte Misone in the municipality of Fiavè (Province of Trento)—opens its streets and courtyards for Favrio come sti ani, a village festival designed to revive the slow and convivial pace of times gone by.
The event was created by the Fiavè Youth Group, which organizes it together with the entire Favrio community: a way to keep the hamlet's traditions alive and welcome locals and tourists alike in a warm, family-friendly atmosphere at the start of summer.
The title in local dialect—come sti ani, meaning "like in the old days"—perfectly captures the spirit of the festival: rediscovering an entire territory, its traditions, and its people with a sense of wonder and a slower pace. The program combines recreational, sporting, cultural, and gastronomic elements, with activities designed for both children and adults.
Favrio preserves many traditional rural houses typical of the Giudicarie Esteriori and the historic church of San Biagio: strolling through its alleys during the festival means connecting with an authentic agricultural landscape, just a stone's throw from the Trentino side of Lake Garda and the Fiavè pile-dwelling area, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A small community event that celebrates the long tradition of village festivals in the Trentino-Alto Adige region.
The second edition of Favrio come sti ani was held from July 3 to 5, 2026, in the hamlet of Favrio, in the municipality of Fiavè (Province of Trento). As with the first edition, the characteristic village immersed in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve welcomed locals and tourists in a warm and convivial atmosphere at the start of summer.
Three days of recreational, sporting, cultural, and gastronomic activities for all ages: workshops and games, orienteering through the village courtyards, cultural and literary meetings, a market with local products and crafts, an aperitif on the hill, and a food stand with good food accompanied by wine and beer.
The program for Favrio come sti ani spans three days with activities for all ages in a folkloric and convivial atmosphere:
