The "fasulìn de l'öc cun le cudeghe" — beans with pork rind — are a simple and iconic dish of the peasant cuisine of the lower Cremona area. In Pizzighettone (province of Cremona), this specialty gives its name to one of the most cherished gastronomic festivals in the region.

In the casemates of the Walls

The event takes place in the evocative heated casemates of the ancient Walls of Pizzighettone, a cozy and characteristic setting that can accommodate over a thousand seats, about 560 of which are bookable. The formula of multiple weekends allows a large number of visitors to enjoy traditional dishes in a convivial atmosphere.

Solidarity and recovery of the Walls

The festival is organized by the Gruppo Volontari Mura (GVM) of Pizzighettone, an association that has been dedicated to enhancing the local historical heritage for decades. The proceeds from the event are indeed allocated to the recovery of the walls, a collective work that links the festival to its civic purpose.

An established tradition

Now in its 34th edition, the event is a regular fixture of the Pizzighettone autumn, capable of attracting gourmets from all over the province of Cremona and beyond.
