Since 1791, the great agricultural and livestock fair of the Lodigiano region
The Codogno Fair is one of the oldest and most deeply rooted events in agricultural Lombardy. Founded in 1791 by "royal decree," for over two centuries it has marked the autumn of Codogno, in the Lower Lodigiano area of the province of Lodi. It is the most important livestock fair in the Lodi region, an event that spans generations and annually achieves one of the highest edition numbers in Italy: the 234th edition was held in November 2025.
Spanning approximately 45,000 square meters, the Giuseppe Vezzulli Exhibition Centre hosts the best of the region's agricultural and livestock production. Among the pavilions and outdoor spaces, cattle, pigs, and goats are exhibited, agricultural machinery of all types is displayed, and local agri-food typical products and crafts are showcased. It is a review that tells the story of the Lodigiano region's farming vocation and its supply chain, from farm to table.
The Fair has its own historic mascot, Pèpu, a figure inspired by Arcimboldo's compositions, which, along with the logo and promotional posters, characterizes its image over time. The event also offers educational activities, guided tours, and interactive workshops designed for schools, making the Fair an occasion for learning as well as celebration.
The heart of Codogno's tradition, the Autumn Fair attracts thousands of visitors every year from Codogno, Lodi, and the entire lower Po Valley. Easily accessible from the A1 motorway, it is an event that combines the professional dimension of the agricultural sector with the popular appeal of a large village fair.
The 235th edition of the Codogno Autumn Fair is scheduled for November 2026 at the Giuseppe Vezzulli Exhibition Centre (precise dates will be published closer to the event). The historic agricultural and livestock review of the Lodigiano region covers approximately 45,000 square meters, with exhibitions of cattle, pigs, and goats, agricultural machinery, typical agri-food products, and local crafts. Educational activities and guided tours for schools are also confirmed.
The detailed program for the 235th edition will be published by the Municipality of Codogno in the weeks preceding the event. The usual structure includes:
