Managed by the FAI - National Trust for Italy, this rare archaeological and landscape treasure preserves the ancient Phaeacian Aqueducts from the Greek era, which have irrigated the valley's citrus groves for over two millennia. It is here, in the province of Agrigento and the heart of Sicily, that the FAI Summer Evenings festival comes to life every summer, part of a major national campaign that keeps FAI properties open until late in the evening.
Fuori Cantina: Sicilian wine at sunset
The heart of the festival is the "Fuori Cantina" series, scheduled every Friday evening. This is an experiential and sensory journey through Sicilian wines, enjoyed in a convivial atmosphere: guests sit together at tables among the garden's citrus and ancient olive trees to discover the island's diverse oenological offerings. Each event features a selection of wines paired with small tastings of typical Sicilian products, guided by industry experts.
Music, performances, and the starry sky
Alongside the tastings, the evenings come alive with musical moments and artistic performances in the unique setting of what the ancients called the "sacred pool of the gods." A special chapter is dedicated to "Astronomers for a Night": on selected dates, visitors and enthusiasts can participate in guided sky observations from the Kolymbethra's panoramic viewpoint, accompanied by specialized staff.

The 2026 edition of the FAI Summer Evenings at the Giardino della Kolymbethra takes place every Friday evening from July 3 to August 28, 2026, in the heart of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento.
The "Fuori Cantina" events return as a central experiential and sensory journey through Sicilian wines, enjoyed in a convivial table setting among citrus and ancient olive trees. The festival is organized in collaboration with journalist and sommelier Salvo Ognibene, the Nettuno Association, and the Mediterraneo Yachting Club.
Alongside the tastings, the calendar includes musical evenings with guests such as singer-songwriter Daniele Magro and harpist Kety Fusco, appearing in Sicily for the first time, as well as three "Astronomers for a Night" evenings dedicated to guided stargazing.
