Fastuca Fest, the green heart of the Sicani Mountains

The Fastuca Fest is the grand celebration that brings the town of Raffadali, in the province of Agrigento, to life every September. 'Fastuca' is the local dialect term for pistachio, which has been cultivated here for generations. The festival honors the Raffadali PDO Pistachio, a Protected Designation of Origin product nicknamed the 'emerald' of the Sicani for its intense color and unmistakable flavor.

Four days of flavor and culture

For four days, the historic center of Raffadali turns into a vast open-air trail. The heart of the event is the Taste Trail, featuring dozens of local producers offering pistachio-based confectionery and gastronomic delights, from traditional sweets to creative culinary innovations. Alongside the tastings, the program includes:

• Showcooking and cooking classes with renowned chefs, including Michelin-starred guests, reinterpreting the pistachio in a gourmet style;
• Exhibitions and craft workshops, showcasing the historic tradition of Raffadali ceramics;
• Cultural and literary meetings dedicated to the region and its excellence;
• Live concerts and performances that keep the squares buzzing until late at night;
• Family and children's activities, excursions through the pistachio groves, and wellness moments.

A Sicilian excellence

The Raffadali PDO Pistachio is a jewel of Sicilian agribusiness. Grown on the clay hills of the Sicani Mountains, it is prized for its quality and sustainable production. The Fastuca Fest, organized by the Fastuca Association in partnership with the Consortium for the Protection of Raffadali PDO Pistachio, was created to promote this product and its entire supply chain, offering visitors an experience that blends gastronomy, culture, and slow tourism.

Over the years, the Fastuca Fest has become a regional landmark, drawing thousands of visitors to Raffadali.
