A showcase of Sicilian craftsmanship and taste

The Exhibition and Market of Typical Products and Crafts is one of the most anticipated summer events in Lascari, a small town in the Metropolitan City of Palermo overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea at the foot of the Madonie mountains. For four consecutive evenings in August, the village's historic center comes to life: the main streets — Via Libertà, Via Salvatore Chiaramonte, and Via Indipendenza — are filled with about sixty exhibition spaces, while Piazza del Popolo becomes the stage for the nightly entertainment.

What to find among the stalls

The heart of the event is the meeting between Sicilian artisans and producers. Strolling among the stalls, you will find:

• Local crafts: ceramics, jewelry, textiles, and wooden objects;
• Typical products: extra virgin olive oil, local wines, cheeses, preserves, and traditional sweets;
• Street food: gastronomic delights to enjoy while walking through the town streets.

Admission is free, and the stalls remain open from 6:00 PM until midnight, during the cooler hours of the summer evening.

Entertainment in the square

Every evening, around 9:30 PM, Piazza del Popolo hosts a live entertainment program: concerts, musical groups, and cabaret take turns on stage, providing festive moments that perfectly round off the evening. Over the years, comedians and bands from the Sicilian scene have performed here, making the event a meeting point for residents and tourists vacationing along the Palermo coast.

A consolidated tradition of the Madonie

Now in its twentieth edition, the Exhibition and Market is organized by the Municipality of Lascari in collaboration with CNA Palermo and the Associazione Artigianando, with the support of the Regional Department of Productive Activities. It has become a precious opportunity to promote local artisanal trades and discover the flavors of the Madonie in an authentic and familiar atmosphere that tells the story of this corner of Sicily.
