Italian craftsmanship and flavors along the salt pan promenade
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Exhibition and Market of Artisanship and Regional Typical Products is one of the most anticipated summer events on the coast of the Barletta-Andria-Trani province. Known to all as the Pink Flamingo Fairโa tribute to the famous birds that inhabit the salt pans of Margherita di Savoia, the largest in Europeโit enlivens the Lungomare Cristoforo Colombo every August, the wide pedestrian promenade overlooking the Adriatic in the heart of the town of Margherita di Savoia.
Throughout the fair, the promenade transforms into a long corridor of stalls and gazebos: artisans, hobbyists, and producers from various regions of Italy display their creations, bringing to life a true showcase of national "know-how." Among the stands, you will find artistic crafts, fashion accessories and costume jewelry, leather goods, gift items, and ethnic products, alongside a large area dedicated to food and wine: local products, pastries, and Apulian baked goods, regional specialties, and street food to enjoy while strolling.
There are also stands dedicated to books for adults and children and entertainment proposals designed for families, making the fair a pleasant walk for all ages. The event, which has seen the number of exhibitors grow over the years, has even been highlighted by Codacons as one of the best summer fairs in the region.
The winning formula of the fair is its exclusively evening opening: the stands light up as the sun sets and remain open until late at night, when the Adriatic breeze makes a walk along the coast delightful. Admission is free, and the location on the promenade allows you to combine artisanal shopping with an evening by the sea, among ice cream parlors, bars, and the unique landscape of the city of salt pans.
The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Margherita di Savoia together with the ArtigianInPiazza association, with the support of the municipal administration, and represents one of the main attractions of the city's summer calendar, capable of drawing both residents and tourists vacationing along the Apulian coast.
The Pink Flamingo Fair will return to enliven the promenade of Margherita di Savoia in the summer of 2026, confirming the appointment with artistic craftsmanship and regional typical products. At the moment, the precise dates of the 2026 edition have not yet been made official: the event is usually held in the first half of August, with exclusively evening opening and free admission. The detailed program and the list of exhibitors will be communicated by the Pro Loco of Margherita di Savoia and the ArtigianInPiazza association closer to the event.
The fair is held along the Lungomare Cristoforo Colombo, the pedestrian seaside promenade of Margherita di Savoia (BT), in Puglia.
Evening only, approximately from 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM, for the entire duration of the event.
Free admission.
Margherita di Savoia can be reached by car via the SS16 Adriatica; the reference railway station is Trinitapoli-Margherita di Savoia-San Ferdinando. The promenade is pedestrian-only: it is recommended to park in the areas adjacent to the center.
