Three days of flavors, aromas, and craftsmanship from across Europe in Piazza Galimberti
The European Market of Cuneo is one of the most anticipated spring events in the capital of the Cuneo province, in Piedmont. For over twenty years, the central Piazza Galimberti has hosted dozens of European vendors for a long weekend, turning the city into a crossroads of tastes, languages, and traditions. Strolling through the market stalls is like taking a mini-tour of the continent without ever leaving Cuneo's historic center.
The heart of the event is international gastronomy: street food stands, traditional dining, and artisanal beverages bring the aromas of France, Spain, Germany, Eastern Europe, and the Mediterranean regions to the square, alongside specialties from even further afield. Beyond food, there are stalls dedicated to traditional crafts, home goods, and wellness and personal care products, offering a diverse range of goods that attracts visitors from across the entire Granda region.
Organized by FIVA Confcommercio in collaboration with Confcommercio Cuneo and the municipal administration, the European Market has been enlivening Cuneo since 2001 and has become a classic fixture of the city's event calendar. The 2026 edition marks the thirteenth hosted in the city, confirming the winning formula that combines quality street vending, the discovery of European cultures, and outdoor social life.
The stands occupy the square and the wide esplanade of Piazza Galimberti, the monumental square that serves as Cuneo's living room, easily accessible on foot from anywhere in the center. Admission is free and the stalls remain open from morning until late evening, allowing visitors to explore the market after work or during an evening stroll under the Cuneo porticoes.
The European Market usually takes place in May, over a long weekend from Friday to Sunday.
