Erbeinfiera and New Wine Festival, the spring celebration in Perosa Argentina

Every year in mid-March, Perosa Argentina officially opens the horticultural fair season of the Pinerolo area with the Erbeinfiera and New Wine Festival. Located on the valley floor of the Chisone and Germanasca Valleys, in the Metropolitan City of Turin and the heart of the Occitan Piedmont, the town transforms into a large open-air market dedicated to aromatic herbs, flowers, plants, and new wine. The event is organized by the Poggio Oddone Cultural Association APS, with the patronage of the Piedmont Region and the Metropolitan City of Turin.

Around forty exhibitors along Viale Duca d'Aosta

The heart of the fair is Sunday, when from 9 am to 6 pm, Viale Duca d'Aosta and the surrounding streets fill with stalls: medicinal and aromatic herbs, seasonal blooms, vegetable and garden plants, traditional crafts, and, of course, the new wine that gives the event its name. It is the ideal occasion for gardening and botany enthusiasts to stock up for the upcoming season, as well as to discover local products.

A program that blends nature, flavors, and traditions

Erbeinfiera is more than just a market. The program kicks off on Saturday afternoon at the Municipal Library with a cultural event, while Sunday brings the whole town to life with a rich calendar of activities:

• Dog Erbeinfiera Day: a charity walk with your dog in Piazza Europa, with registration fees supporting the Bibiana animal shelter;
• Community Lunch featuring traditional herb omelet, polenta, and desserts;
• Occitan dances with local groups, celebrating the cultural roots of the valleys;
• Wooden games and workshops for children, including juggling activities;
• Bar area and stands serving gofri, the typical waffle of the Piedmontese valleys.

A deeply rooted local event

Reaching its twenty-fourth edition in 2026, Erbeinfiera is now a staple of the spring calendar in the Chisone Valley. Born from the voluntary commitment of the Poggio Oddone Association, the fair combines a passion for greenery and local produce with a strong sense of community and solidarity, featuring fundraising for local causes. For those visiting the Pinerolo valleys, it is also an excellent opportunity to discover Perosa Argentina and its surroundings, amidst nature, gastronomy, and Occitan traditions.
