About Enopolis

Enopolis is a professional traveling fair dedicated to Sicilian viticulture, created by the Agrisicilia magazine and the Isvam Research Center. It is a field day that combines exhibition stands, technical conferences, and live machinery demonstrations, specifically designed for industry professionals. Following stops in Marsala, Menfi, and Canicattì, the fourth edition has been awarded to Mazzarrone, the capital of PGI table grapes in the province of Catania. This B2B event focuses on innovation, research, and vineyard technologies.

Enopolis: Sicilian viticulture in the field

Enopolis is a traveling trade fair entirely dedicated to professional viticulture, conceived and organized by the Agrisicilia magazine in collaboration with the Isvam Research Center. This is not a local food festival, but a genuine B2B event aimed at industry stakeholders: winegrowers, agronomists, agricultural machinery companies, producers of fertilizers and biostimulants, researchers, and protection consortia.

The format: a field day

Enopolis takes place over a single day and is structured into several complementary sessions. The morning is reserved for technical conferences, featuring experts discussing crucial industry topics: water conservation, workplace safety, biostimulants for vines, precision farming, and vineyard mapping with drones. The afternoon is dedicated to field demonstrations, where agricultural machinery is shown in action directly between the rows. The event is rounded off by around twenty exhibition stands, company presentations, and a rustic lunch offered to participants. Admission is generally free upon registration.

A traveling event

The hallmark of Enopolis is its rotating location, visiting different viticultural capitals of Sicily. The first two editions, in Marsala and Menfi, were dedicated to wine grapes; the third, in June 2025, was held in Canicattì (at the Baglio San Nicola farmhouse in Naro, province of Agrigento) and was the first to focus on table grapes.

2026 Edition: stop in Mazzarrone

During Enopolis 2025, a twinning agreement was announced between the Consortium for the Protection of Canicattì PGI Table Grapes and the Consortium for the Protection of Mazzarrone PGI Table Grapes, chaired by Giovanni Raniolo. This agreement led to the assignment of the fourth edition to Mazzarrone in 2026. Mazzarrone, a municipality in the province of Catania bordering the Ragusa area, is one of the iconic territories for Sicilian table grapes and holds the PGI designation that bears its name. As of now, the exact dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced.

Why attend

  • A rare professional event that brings viticultural research directly into the vineyard.
  • Technical conferences with industry experts and practical machinery demonstrations.
  • A networking opportunity for the entire Sicilian PGI table grape supply chain.

Enopolis — edition 2026

The fourth edition of Enopolis has been awarded to Mazzarrone (CT) thanks to the twinning between the Consortia for the Protection of Canicattì and Mazzarrone PGI Table Grapes, announced during the 2025 edition. As of now, the precise dates and program for the 2026 edition have not yet been communicated by the organizers. The event will confirm its usual traveling format with technical conferences, exhibition stands, and field demonstrations of viticulture machinery.

Following the Canicattì stop in June 2025, the fourth edition of Enopolis has been awarded to Mazzarrone, in the province of Catania, the capital of PGI table grapes. The assignment stems from the formal twinning between the Consortium for the Protection of Canicattì PGI Table Grapes and the Mazzarrone PGI Consortium, chaired by Giovanni Raniolo, which was announced during Enopolis 2025.

The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been made official. Based on previous editions, the classic format is expected to be repeated: a field day with technical conferences dedicated to innovation, water conservation, and mechanization, exhibition stands from industry companies, and field demonstrations of machinery between the rows. The detailed program will be announced by the organizers closer to the event.
