The Ekon Cup Beach Party is one of the most anticipated sports and social events of the early summer in Pergine Valsugana, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. Organized by the Centro Nautico ASD Ekon, the event takes place on the shores of Lake Caldonazzo, in the picturesque village of San Cristoforo al Lago, combining the thrill of water competition with an evening party open to everyone.

The dragon boat race

The highlight of the day is the 750-meter pursuit dragon boat race, an adrenaline-filled format that serves as the first stage of the Trentino Dragon Boat Championship. Long rowing boats, guided by the rhythmic beat of drums and the coxswain's calls, chase each other across the waters of Lake Caldonazzo before an audience gathered on the shore. It is the perfect opportunity to discover this ancient discipline, which finds one of its most active regional bases in San Cristoforo thanks to the local nautical center.

From racing to partying

The event doesn't end with the sports competition. Throughout the day, the atmosphere is enlivened by lakeside musical entertainment, while at dusk, the Ekon Beach Party turns the nautical center area into a full-blown beach party, with DJ sets and music late into the night. It is a popular gathering for athletes, families, and young people, set in the unique natural landscape where the mountains meet the water in Valsugana.
