A day in nature along the scenic Strada Panoramica in the Superga Park
Effetto Bosco is an event that closes a stretch of the evocative Strada Panoramica in Pino Torinese to traffic for an entire day, returning it to those who wish to experience nature. We are in the municipality of Pino Torinese, in the province of Turin, within the Superga Hill Natural Park: a green balcony suspended over the city, reachable in just a few minutes from the Piedmontese capital yet immersed in the silence of the trees. The event is organized by the Associazione Culturale Di Tutti i Colori, an ARCI affiliate, and was born with a clear vision: to help people rediscover the woods as a place for meeting, play, and environmental awareness.
The day is a tapestry of activities for all ages. You can walk along the trails with guided hikes dedicated to the local flora and fauna, participate in creative workshops (ceramic painting, crochet, wild basketry, and activities for children), and enjoy theatrical performances as well as folk music and dance. There is no shortage of concrete actions for the environment, such as cleaning the picnic area and swapping plant cuttings, because here the festival is also about education in caring for the land.
Starting in 2026, Effetto Bosco joins forces for the first time with Dalla Collina alla Tavola, a fair for local agricultural producers that brings the flavors of the Chierese and Carmagnolese Food District to the Panoramica. Through stalls of typical products, tastings, and a convivial dinner based on short supply chains, the initiative celebrates the bond between the woods, the land, and the table. The day also includes the Young Farmer Award, a recognition for the new generations of hillside agriculture.
Effetto Bosco is the result of a wide network of partners: in addition to the Associazione Di Tutti i Colori, the Municipality of Pino Torinese, the Management Body of the Piedmontese Po Protected Areas, the CollinaPo UNESCO MAB Reserve, the Metropolitan City of Turin, and various local entities collaborate on the project. This collaboration makes this festival much more than just an event: it is a model for the sustainable enhancement of the Turin hills.
On Sunday, May 24, 2026, the Strada Panoramica of Pino Torinese, in the Superga Hill Natural Park, was closed to traffic to host Effetto Bosco as part of the European Day of Parks. The novelty of the year was the partnership with Dalla Collina alla Tavola, the fair of agricultural producers from the Chierese and Carmagnolese Food District, featuring a market, tastings, and an evening dinner based on local products. The day offered hikes, workshops, forest activities, and the presentation of the Young Farmer Award.
