Montecastrilli's Summer Feast
The Duck Festival, the gastronomic heart of the 'Under the Stars of Montecastrilli' event, is one of the longest-running and most popular gatherings in the town, in the province of Terni. For ten days, the historic center comes alive with stalls, music, and tables under the August sky.
Duck, the Queen of the Table
The signature dish is roast duck, a traditional preparation that gives the festival its name, alongside duck pappardelle and many other Umbrian cuisine specialties. There is also the 'Gourmet Corner', dedicated to desserts. Service is at the table.
Music, Dancing, and Fun for Everyone
Each evening offers live music and dancing with the best orchestras in Umbria, with free admission. A large inflatable play area and activities for children are set up for families, making the festival an event suitable for all ages.
Duck Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Duck Festival - Under the Stars of Montecastrilli reaches its 32nd edition and will be held from August 14 to 23 in the historic center of the town.
The star is roast duck, accompanied by pappardelle and many other specialties, with a corner dedicated to desserts. Every evening features live music and dancing with big orchestras, free admission, and a large inflatable area for the little ones.
