About Divina Food Experience

Divina Food Experience is the food and wine stroll that transforms the historic center of Vietri sul Mare, on the Amalfi Coast, into a one-kilometer-long journey of flavors, ceramics, and music every May. Along Corso Umberto I, over forty stations bring together local chefs, restaurateurs, pizza makers, and wineries, while master potters work at the wheel and workshops remain open until late at night.

The Amalfi Coast in a kilometer of flavors

Divina Food Experience — Vietri between Art and Taste is the event that, on a single evening in May, lines up the best of coastal food and wine along Corso Umberto I in Vietri sul Mare, a town in the province of Salerno that marks the gateway to the Amalfi Coast in Campania. The format is simple and that is why it works: you purchase a tasting package, receive a ceramic glass, and start walking. The rest is done by the alleys, stairways, and workshops of the village, which for one night become the dining room of a one-kilometer-long restaurant.

The journey of taste

The heart of the evening is the over forty stations set up along the main street: restaurants, trattorias, pizzerias, pastry shops, farms, and historic workshops of the coast prepare dishes inspired by Mediterranean tradition. Among the specialties featured in the event's menus are the PGI Amalfi Coast lemon, Cetara anchovies, Agerola fiordilatte, scialatielli pasta, Tramonti pizza, Praiano squid and potatoes, Minori ndunderi, as well as Neapolitan street food and traditional Campanian desserts.

  • Live show cooking with the brigades of some of the most renowned local establishments
  • Pastry and artisanal gelato stations dedicated to the coastal lemon
  • Fried foods, arancini, and montanare for those seeking popular flavors

The wine route

Alongside the food runs the wine route, featuring over ten wineries and distilleries from Campania and guided tastings led by professional sommeliers. It is an opportunity to understand, glass in hand, what it means to practice heroic viticulture on terraces overlooking the sea: native grapes like Falanghina, Biancolella, Ginestra, Piedirosso, and Tintore tell the story of a unique agricultural landscape, protected by the Costa d'Amalfi denomination.

The art route: Vietri ceramics

Vietri sul Mare is, first and foremost, the city of ceramics. The event puts this at the center: during the evening, master potters work at the wheel in front of the public, decorators hand-paint traditional motifs — the donkey, the rooster, the Mediterranean geometries of blue, yellow, and green — and the historic center's workshops stay open until late at night, turning the village into a widespread gallery. Those who purchase the Coastal Package online receive a complimentary handmade ceramic mug crafted by CNA potters: a souvenir that replaces the disposable glass and remains as a functional object.

The cultural route

The fourth soul of the event is cultural: street artists, jugglers, and street magicians animate the small squares, while live jazz music accompanies the stroll through the key points of the route. In the late afternoon, before the tasting areas open, two discussion panels are held dedicated to experiential tourism, sustainability, and the future of coastal villages, featuring administrators, artisans, and industry operators.

Organizers

The event is promoted by the Pro Loco of Vietri sul Mare together with Erre Erre Eventi and Protocollo Costantino, with the patronage of the Campania Region, the Municipality of Vietri sul Mare, the Province of Salerno, the Salerno Chamber of Commerce, the CNA of Salerno, and the Vietri Restaurateurs Association. The first edition took place in 2025 and has already attracted numerous Italian and foreign visitors, making it one of the most anticipated food and wine events of the Salernitan spring.

Why it is worth visiting

Because it is one of the few ways to experience the Amalfi Coast outside of peak season, with the village illuminated, shops open, and producers ready to share their stories. And because it combines in a single evening the three identities of Vietri: the sea, the table, and ceramics.

Divina Food Experience — edition 2026

Over forty tasting stations, more than ten wineries and distilleries, show cooking, master potters at the wheel, shops open until late at night, and live jazz music created a one-kilometer-long journey dedicated to the excellence of the Amalfi Coast.

2026 Edition: the second edition
