"Di Fiore in Foglia" is the event where the Gardenesque nursery opens its gates to the public in the village of Monteu da Po, a charming spot in the hills overlooking the Po River in the Province of Turin, in the heart of Piedmont. For two days, the nursery transforms into a vibrant festival for conscious gardening enthusiasts who want to welcome the season with unique plants and botanical treasures.
Over a thousand plant varieties
The heart of the event is the nursery's collection: over a thousand species and varieties of perennial and annual herbaceous plants, many of which are rare, carefully selected by Simone Nigra and Andrea De Paoli, the founders of Gardenesque. The selection favors species suited to the local climate, ranging from groundcovers and xeriscaping plants to edible varieties and those perfect for naturalistic gardens. The goal is to promote sustainable gardening and make botanical knowledge accessible to both beginners and experts.
Botanical talks and workshops
Strolls through the flowerbeds are complemented by workshops for all ages and "botanical talks," free meetings with experts to explore the natural world: from sustainable gardening and beneficial wild herbs to edible sages and herbal teas. It is a multisensory experience defined by colors, scents, and shared artisanal wisdom.
Local nurserymen and artisans
The event is enriched by guest nurserymen and local artisans offering handmade ceramics, woven baskets, vegan natural cosmetics, and local produce like medicinal herbs and ancient grain bread. Guest exhibitors include Piedmontese nurseries specializing in antique and botanical roses, irises, organic local honey, and tropical plants.
How to experience the event
Admission is free, and the nursery is open from 10 AM until sunset. It is the perfect day trip to combine shopping for rare plants with exploring the hills of Turin and the landscapes between the Po and the Monferrato region.

L'edizione primaverile 2026 ha confermato la formula di "Di Fiore in Foglia": due giorni di porte aperte al vivaio Gardenesque di Monteu da Po, dedicati alla cultura del verde e alla biodiversità, con ingresso libero dalle 10 al tramonto.
Accanto alla collezione di oltre mille varietà di erbacee perenni e annuali insolite, il programma ha offerto laboratori per adulti e bambini, passeggiate botaniche e le "chiacchierate botaniche" gratuite con ospiti esperti. La presenza di vivaisti e artigiani del territorio ha completato l'esperienza tra ceramiche, cesteria, cosmesi naturale e prodotti della terra.

- 11:00–15:00 — Laboratorio di lavorazione della ceramica a crudo, per adulti e bambini (8 €)

Domenica 19 aprile
- Apertura del vivaio dalle 10 al tramonto, ingresso gratuito
- 11:00–13:00 — Passeggiata-laboratorio sulle erbe spontanee commestibili (12 €)

Getting there
By car: Monteu da Po can be reached via the SS590 road of the Valle Cerrina; the village is about 40 km from Turin and slightly less from Chivasso. By train: the nearest station is Chivasso, on the Turin–Milan line, from where you can continue by car.
Hours and admission
Open from 10 AM until sunset, Saturday and Sunday. Free admission to the nursery. Some workshops require a fee and prior booking.
Tips
Wear comfortable shoes for walking through the flowerbeds and, if you plan on buying plants, ensure you have enough space in your car for transport.
